"The earth shall be full of the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD,
As the waters cover the sea" (Isa. 11:9).

And what is the secret of our being able to glory only in the Lord, and to enjoy His blessing in this the day of our visitation?  It is given in Jer. 9:23,24:

"Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Neither let the mighty man glory in his might,
Let not the rich man glory in his riches:
But let him that glorieth, glory in this,
THAT HE UNDERSTANDETH AND
KNOWETH ME."

May 2015 find us wise in His wisdom.

Get to know Him.!!.

HAPPY NEW YEAR..!!.

  1. Amen dear sister; I like what John Gill writes concerning part of these verses, "he understanding and knowing me"; for this clause is descriptive of the person that is to glory in the Lord, and not of the thing in which he is to glory; for it is not even in the knowledge of God that men are to glory, but in the Lord himself; and he that understands himself as a creature dependent on God, and especially as a fallen sinful creature; and still more as one regenerated by the grace of God; he will never glory in himself, but in the Lord; and so, if he understands divine things, and the scheme of salvation by the grace of God, and not by the works of men; and if he knows the Lord, he will never glory in his own wisdom, nor in his own strength, nor in his riches, nor in his righteousness, nor in any man or creature, but in the Lord only"
May the Lord grant us a blessed New Year, filling us with hearts that are hungry for His truth and a deeper desire for Christ Himself. May the world no longer entice us...may Christ be our all in all.

  2. Amen!!!! The people trusted in Moses, not in God. The people trusted in Gideon, not in God. We must learn to trust God rather than man. Seeking the Giver of the gift, and not the gift.

    Happy New Year.!!!!

    1. Exactly! How many today are trusting in and defending mortal, fallible men? How many wage a war of words against those who dare expose their favorite celebrity preacher? It's rampant...may God have great mercy. Yes, seek the Giver of the gift, NOT the gift - amen! Trust in God completely and lean upon Him wholeheartedly. It's time to STOP following men and make our allegiance entirely to our Lord and Savior.

Happy New Year to you and yours dear sister!

    1. I listened to the sermon. It is currently impossible to find such preaching as this from any 'national' pulpit. Equally difficult is it to find even a close resemblance in any 'denominational' [controlled] "church". Maybe, just maybe, there are still a few faithful men who will tell the truth to those that will listen, but I know of none, nor do I seek one. As evil men wax worse and worse it is becoming imperative to bury my face in the Word and learn from the only real Teacher that we have: the Holy Spirit. It seems that there are a few around still today that have this mindset also and though we will likely never cross paths on this earth we shall meet one day soon enough at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. May the Lord find us faithful to our duty when we finally see Him.

    2. So thankful this world is not our home. Looking to man will disappoint us every time but as Isaiah tells us: He will keep those in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. Keep praying for eyes to be opened and hearts to be changed, and for opportunities to share a smile, a word of encouragement or a silent prayer for those God daily puts in our path. Thanks Darrel for both your and Lyn' post. They are an encouragement. I too was blessed by the video Lyn mentioned.

  5. I watched a video on a tribe in Indonesia as they received God's word in their own language, I felt so guilty as I do NOT cherish His word as I should, nor do I spend as much time in it as I should. I take for granted that I have easy access to His word any time, and in my own language. May God cause me to delight in His word more, hunger and thirst for His word more, and see just how precious the word of God truly is!!

    Here's a link to the video - http://youtu.be/w9dpmp_-TY0
